PROVIDENCE DAY SPORTS MEDICINE

Providence Day Sports Medicine exists to ensure our student-athletes receive quality medical care while participating in athletics and physical education classes. In 2020 we were awarded the National Safe Sports School 1st Team Award, an award that champions safety and recognizes secondary schools that provide safe environments for student athletes. Our goal as Athletic Trainers is to provide accurate and timely injury prevention, evaluation, treatment, rehabilitation, return to play protocol, and education to our athletes and Providence Day community.

Our Athletic Training Room is comparable to most college facilities. As health care professionals, our three licensed and nationally certified athletic trainers work with team physicians, Dr. Bruce Cohen and Dr. Shadley Schiffern, ensuring all student-athletes receive quality medical care. Our staff is available during the school day and are present at all home practices and sporting events. We also coordinate medical coverage with our opponents at off campus events.
